EA Tremolo veroboard design

Recently I became interested in building guitar effects. I’ve always wanted to add a tremolo pedal to my guitar rig but I was unable to find a decent sounding pedal with a modest price. After building a few simple distortion pedals I decided the time was right to start a tremolo project.

After doing some research on the subject I stumbled upon the EA Tremolo project. I listened to some sound clips and I was instantly sold. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find a decent veroboard design which had confirmed credibility. So I decided to start from scratch and do the design myself. Here is the finished result:

I based myself upon the schematic found here. I also used the same codes for labeling. Become I didn’t had any suitable potentiometer lying around I decided to abandon the volume potentiometer and I replaced it with two resistors which act as a current divider. I’ve also made the design as small as I possible could which unfortunately resulted in some dirty tricks.

After building the design I was very pleased with how it sounds, I can recommend this pedal to anyone looking for a great and cheap tremolo pedal.
